Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is an American actor, singer and model. She was a model for a while before becoming an actress. She's best known for her part in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain as well as being the singer-in-chief of Apollonia 6, a girl group. The group was just one of the female performers who gained of Prince's involvement during the 1980s. Patricia Kotero is a Californian actress who was born in the city of Santa Monica in 1959. Her beginnings included acting as a model for television. In 1984 she landed the title of female lead for Prince's Purple Rain (during which time she switched her names) and was replaced by Vanity as a member of the female group Vanity 6 which performed on the screen under the name Apollonia 6. Sex Shooter was only a small achievement for the group however, she had an even bigger impact as Prince's duet partner in Take Me with You on the soundtrack. Kotero was able to break up with Prince after the two fell out about the fate of Apollonia 6. The actress was featured in numerous small films, including the sequel to Purple Rain Under the Cherry Moon (which she did not want to be in), and then landed the lead role as Falcon Crest on the Night-Time drama Falcon Crest from 1985-1986. Apollonia's debut album was released in 1988. The R&B and dance songs were not a huge hit by those who bought music. They soon ceased to exist. Throughout the decade that followed her career was a full-time actress with minor film roles as well as small television shows. Apollonia's album "Stay With Me" was released in 1997. She later returned to school earned a filmmaking degree, and formed her own production company often working in television for children. Apollonia Kotero is famous as a multi-faceted person. Kotero was also an entrepreneur and founded Kotero Entertainment which is a multi-media entertainment company.
