Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She received a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer, who has been actively involved in theater, film, as well as television. Aunjanue L. Ellis began acting in theatre. Then, she appeared in television programs along with independent and mainstream films. The actress became well-known as Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. In BET's epic series The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. Not only did she receive critical acclaim for her character, she also received a few awards and nominations. In 1995 she debuted as Ariel on stage as Ariel in The Tempest. Stage credits comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner.
