Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American performer and actor who made her name with smart raps that addressed sexuality and racial identities with the most comical of perspectives. She then expanded into Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. Born in Forest Hills Queens, she was the child of Chinese immigrants and Korean immigrants. Later, she began hip-hop and classical training. In college, she studied writing and women's studies. She even spent some time learning Mandarin during her time in Beijing. After graduating, she began to focus on music. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet eventually landing on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. It also included viral hits including body-positive Queef & winking home tour NYC Bitche$. This latter song was directly tied to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. Her resume contained both an musicians and an author. Now she was looking to expand her career into acting. Apart from the early television shows like Girl Code and Tawk, she has also been featured in movies like Neighbors2Storks, and Bad Rap. In 2018, her breakthrough performances included Dude Ocean's 8, along with Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her new EP "In Fina We Trust".
